Cardale Jones likes to win.
The legendary Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback famously led Urban Meyer’s team to a national championship during the 2014 college football season. Jones, Ohio State’s third-string quarterback heading into the 2014 season, stepped up when Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett went down with injuries. He led Ohio State to a blowout win over Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game and then wins over Alabama and Oregon in the College Football Playoff.
Jones likes to win when it comes to video games, too. He famously blew out a sick kid at the hospital.
“Man I wish everyone stop saying I beat a kid in the hospital 91-35…. It was 98-35, had 91 with 1:26 left in the 4th,” he famously wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Jones likes to win now that he’s out of football, too.
He put on his annual Cardale Jones Charity Softball Game over the weekend. Team Cardale ended up winning the game.
“Had a blast,” one fan wrote.
“Congrats!” one fan added.

Ohio State fans have been appreciating Jones for his time with the program, too. One fan asked for Buckeyes fans to name the best quarterback-wide receiver duo of all-time.
“Who’s the greatest Ohio State QB-WR duo of all time?” one fan wondered.
One fan replied: “There are a lot of answers to this, a lot of them with merit. This answer, however, is Cardale Jones to Devin Smith. They were here for a good time, not a long time.”
Another wrote: “Cardale Jones to Devin Smith. Short relationship, but it was definitely sweet.”
One added: “Cardale Jones to Devin Smith. They had a short run but man it was effective.”
