The college football spring transfer portal continues to churn. The biggest name to move was Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who wound up transferring to UCLA after a brutal ending in Rocky Top.
For the Colorado Buffaloes, they have been working hard in this portal window. On Wednesday, Kansas State defensive back Noah King committed to Colorado, marking the fourth such addition in 24 hours for Deion Sanders’ program.
With a lot of question marks due to a number of players leaving for the NFL, Sanders has a lot of work to do for the 2025 season.
Well, Colorado is still working hard.
The Buffs were named a finalist for BYU transfer linebacker Harrison Taggart, who also has Cal and NC State on his list, per Hayes Fawcett of On3.
Taggart is from Draper, Utah, so he stayed local and played the first two seasons at BYU.
In 2023, he had 28 total tackles, but in 2024 he took a big step forward, registering 69 total tackles with three pass deflections, a sack, a forced fumble and an interception.
Taggart was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, per On3, and he had offers from programs including the following: Oregon, Utah, Nebraska and Louisville.
In December 2021, Taggart signed his letter of intent with Oregon and enrolled in March 2022. But he entered the portal in April 2023 and wound up at BYU.
If Sanders can land Taggart, that would be a big boost and keep the former BYU LB in the Big 12 Conference.
