College football players were super stoked when the EA Sports College Football game returned in 2024.
It was the first college football game to be released since NCAA 14 and had all of the popular modes that fans loved, including Road to Glory and Dynasty. It went into development in 2021 before being released last summer.
Before the game came out, EA offered 11,000 players $600 in exchange for using their NIL (names, images, and likeness) in the game.

Players may also receive royalties on top of the $1,500 payout.

This is great news for the players since they’ll get more money and be in this year’s version of the game.
Fans are super happy about this news.
“Good for the players, $1500 ain’t cheap. For all 113 players on App States roster, that’s nearly $170,000,” one tweet read.
“What do you know? Pathway Sports recently launched and offered college football players at least $1500 as compared to last year’s $600 from EA Sports and EA Sports pivots to mirror Pathway’s offer. Positive development. More work to do to benefit athletes!” another tweet read.
“Nice jump for the players,” another fan tweeted.
EA College Football 25 was an instant success, becoming the best-selling sports game in U.S. history. Fans loved it and it’s hard to not see them loving this one if EA does what it did last year.
EA College Football 26 is expected to be released this summer and will also feature the main commentators that fans hear each week during the college football season, including Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit.
