Florida looked flat and frustrated against Kentucky last week, but there’s reason to believe the Gators will show up ready to fight against Ole Miss in Week 12.
The wildcard? Lane Kiffin — the top candidate to become Florida’s next head coach. He’s admitted Florida can compete with the best, citing last season’s upset over Texas and DJ Lagway’s clutch win against Ole Miss that kept the Rebels out of the playoffs. If Florida pulls off another upset, the Kiffin-to-Gators rumors will reach a fever pitch.

That said, Florida is dealing with injuries on both sides of the ball. Lagway’s main weapons are limited, and SEC defenses know shutting down Jadan Baugh stifles the entire offense.
This game could get ugly fast. The goal: keep it close and maybe convince Kiffin the Gators are worth the leap.

Florida vs. Ole Miss predictions, picks for college football Week 12
“Sadly, I just do not see any way that Florida will prevail this Saturday over a top-10-ranked team at home. Worse than that, it is going to be ugly and Kiffin is not going to hold back like Kirby Smart did in the final minutes of the UGA game.” — Adam Dubbin

PREDICTION: Ole Miss 38, Florida 9
“It feels like the Rebels have the upper hand this time. Lane Kiffin’s offense should be too explosive for a Florida team that’s crawling at this point in the season. I think Ole Miss wins convincingly and this game won’t be close.” — Aidan Gallardo
PREDICTION: Ole Miss 37, Florida 20
“Kiffin is going to put on a show and won’t take his foot off the gas. That will make Florida and its fans want him even more. Get ready for another beatdown.” — David Rosenberg
Prediction: Ole Miss 41, Florida 10
