Jaden Rashada is headed to his fourth school since 2023.
Rashada is set to transfer to Sacramento State, various recruiting sites such as 247 Sports and On3 reported on Friday. Hayes Fawcett says that Rashada has even committed to the Hornets.
Rashada was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, but his career has taken many turns. He began at Florida but never played for them and even ended up suing them for allegedly failing to live up to the NIL deal they signed him to. Rashada was released from his Letter of Intent with Florida and then headed to Arizona State.
Rashada played in three games for ASU during the 2023 season and passed for 485 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. He missed time that season due to a knee injury. Rashada also missed time during the 2024 spring due to a thumb injury before transferring to Georgia. Rashada’s time with Georgia was brief, as he declared after the season that he would again be transferring. He had an official visit set up with Western Kentucky, but is apparently choosing to go to Sacramento State instead.
Sacramento State has a new head football coach, as they have hired former UNLV offensive coordinator Brennan Marion. Sac State also made some noise recently due to the basketball coach they hired. Now they have a well-known quarterback on their roster.
