Alabama football coach Kalen DeBoer said he has no interest in the Michigan job that opened last week.
“I have not spoken and have no interest in speaking with anyone else about any other job,” DeBoer said in a statement. “I am fully committed to this program and look forward to continuing as the head football coach at the University of Alabama.”
DeBoer has been one of the popular names mentioned to replace Sherrone Moore, who was fired for cause Wednesday due to an “inappropriate relationship” with a staffer.
DeBoer has gone 19-7 in two seasons at Alabama, including 10-3 this year. The Crimson Tide were seeded No. 9 for the College Football Playoff and are set to take on No. 8 Oklahoma on Friday in the first round. The winner of that game takes on No. 1 Indiana.
