When the week began, LSU Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin didn’t know who his quarterback would be in 2026. But after Wednesday’s commitment, LSU is set at the position for the foreseeable future.
Two days after landing arguably the top quarterback in the 2025 transfer portal class, former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt, Kiffin landed highly-touted 2025 high-school recruit Husan Longstreet, a five-star prospect and the No. 32 overall player — one spot above LSU running back Harlem Berry — in last year’s class.
As a freshman for the USC Trojans, Longstreet appeared in four games and was 13-of-15 for 103 yards while adding 11 carries for 76 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
