The Miami Hurricanes are looking to make a trip back to the College Football Playoff national championship next season, and Mario Cristobal’s team wants to win it all this time around.
They’re still undoubtedly smarting from their title-game loss to the Indiana Hoosiers, but Miami just got some good news on the home front.
Conrad Hussey is a former in-state recruit and a big-time one at that. From Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (St. Thomas Aquinas), Hussey was ranked as the No. 9 safety in the 2023 class.
Hussey committed to the Florida State Seminoles out of high school, and he played in 24 games over two seasons there. He transferred to play for the Oregon State Beavers for the 2025 season but appeared in just three games, which means he essentially preserved a redshirt season.
Now, he’s back in Florida. This time, though, he’s going to be rolling with the Hurricanes, according to On3’s Pete Nakos and Hayes Fawcett.
