Michigan State football is the latest power four program to extend an offer to a trending Ohio defensive lineman in the 2027 class.
Reilly Newman of West Chester, Ohio announced this past weekend that he has received an offer from the Spartans. Newman made the offer from the Spartans known by posting on his social media X account following a visit to Michigan State for the Boston College game.
Newman is currently an unranked prospect on 247Sports, but should be seeing that change soon enough following the number of schools expressing interest in his talents. He is listed at 6-foot-6 and 265 pounds, and plays for Lakota West High School.
Michigan State is now one of more than 10 programs to extend an offer to Newman, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Oregon, Purdue, Bowling Green, Southern Miss and Toledo.
