Nebraska football had a busy Sunday in both transfer portal activity and visits. They secured a commitment from Notre Dame transfer Kenny Minchey and received favorable predictions for San Diego State linebacker Owen Chambliss. Tim Verghese, Bryan Munson, Sean Callahan and Greg Biggins all put in predictions for the linebacker.
Chambliss recorded 109 tackles, four sacks, a fumble recovery, and five pass deflections last season for San Diego State. He burst onto the scene after having a promising 2024 campaign that saw him tally 32 total tackles and a pass deflection.

A commitment to Nebraska would reunite him with defensive coordinator Rob Aurich and give the program experience and depth at the linebacker position.
This will certainly be a player to watch over the next couple of days. It sounds like things are trending in the Huskers’ favor, and the transfer portal period is expected to be busy for the program.
