Ohio State quarterback Will Howard finally came off the board during the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Howard was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team that he really wanted to land with. He said as much to the media after he got selected.
“I’m so thankful. All I need is a chance,” Howard said, via Steelers reporter Nick Farabaugh.
Even though Howard is excited to be a Steeler, some Ohio State fans wish that he had gone elsewhere since they aren’t Steelers fans.

Howard helped Ohio State win the national title during the 2024 college football season. The Buckeyes ran the table and got hot at the perfect time in their run to their first national title in a decade.
Howard was one of the top quarterbacks in the country during the 2024 season, finishing with 4,010 yards through the air, 35 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He throws a pretty deep ball and will get his fair share of reps during training camp and the preseason.
He will team up again with Ohio State linebacker Jack Sawyer after the Steelers selected him in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
