Peyton Manning has issued an official “warning” to the college football world heading into the 2025 regular season.
The college football world is set to get to know Arch Manning in 2025. Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning, was a five-star recruit coming out of high school. He’s been at Texas for two seasons, redshirting his first season before spending the 2024 season as Quinn Ewers’ backup.
Arch Manning has played in spurts, including a couple of starts in ’24 while Ewers was injured, but it’ll finally be his full-time show this fall. ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum is excited, to say the least.
“(Expectations are) the absolute roof… Arch Manning is the best college football quarterback we have seen since Tim Tebow entered the scene in 2006,” Finebaum declared this week.
Those are high claims. His uncle, Peyton Manning, stoked the fire with another comment, too.

Peyton Manning, one of the best quarterbacks in both college football and NFL history, made a telling comment on his nephew. He warned the college football world that Arch Manning’s arm is significantly stronger than his.
That’s impressive.
“I’m excited to watch Arch play,” Manning said. “He threw the ball really well at the camp. He and Garrett Nussmeier at our three throwing expeditions really threw the ball well — all the quarterbacks throw the ball well. It’s impressive. They make throws that I can’t even think about making. Arch made a throw the other day that I’d have to hit the cutoff man to get the ball to the actual receiver.”
Manning has been watching college football quarterbacks perform at his Manning Passing Academy.
It’s certainly going to be a lot of fun watching Arch Manning do his thing at the University of Texas this fall. Expectations are sky high.
