Yesterday, recruit Pole Moala was viewed as one of the top safety prospects in the 2028 class. According to 247 Sports Composite, Moala was the No. 4 safety and No. 47 player overall in his class. But after a decision today, the 6-foot, 165-pounder is now considered one of the strongest safety prospects in the 2027 class, as he’s reclassified up a year.
Speaking to Rivals’ Greg Biggins on the decision, Moala revealed that the programs already recruiting him saw it as a positive to enter college a year earlier than expected.

“I feel I’m ready and it’s an opportunity that I didn’t think I could pass up,” he said. “All the colleges that were recruiting me said they liked me even more if I came out early so I didn’t see any drawbacks to it and it’s going to be an exciting opportunity going through the process and taking my visits.”
Moala has a clear top five in mind, with Oklahoma, Cal, Michigan, Ole Miss and UCLA making the list. However, two have separated themselves at the top: Ole Miss and Michigan.
“I had a great game day visit to Ole Miss last season and really loved it there,” he said. “The atmosphere and the coaches were great and I loved the hospitality they gave me. I can definitely see myself there because of how much I loved the culture and I have a visit for April 10 and can’t wait to get back.”

Meanwhile, the Wolverines offered the Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, native in late February with an official visit upcoming.
The move makes Moala one of the more sought after safeties in the 2027 class, expediting his recruitment along the way and allowing him to enter college football a year before previously expected.
