Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.
Four-star safety Jaylen Scott named Tennessee in his top five schools, along with Oklahoma, Miami, Florida State and Georgia, according to On3 and 247Sports.

The 6-foot, 165-pound prospect is from Williamson High School in Mobile, Alabama. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 10 safety in the class and No. 4 prospect in Alabama.
Tennessee offered Scott a scholarship on Aug. 26, 2024. He visited Tennessee for Big Orange BBQ on May 31, 2025.
Scott previously committed to Florida State on Jan. 18 2025. He decommitted from the Seminoles on June 9, 2025, flipping his commitment to Auburn. He decommitted from the Tigers on Dec. 2, 2025.
Marshall was the first school to offer Scott a scholarship. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Alabama State, Alabama A&M, UCF, Arkansas, South Alabama, Missouri, USF, Nebraska, Michigan, North Carolina, Colorado, Kentucky, Florida and Vanderbilt.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
