The second week of the 2026 NCAA transfer portal cycle is officially underway, and the Oklahoma Sooners saw a former player transfer to a fellow SEC school that is on the schedule this season.
Former OU offensive lineman Isaiah Dent has committed to play for the Mississippi State Bulldogs out of the transfer portal. Dent spent two seasons in Norman, after arriving as part of Oklahoma’s 2024 recruiting class. He was a redshirt freshman this past season.

Dent played in just one game for the Sooners, and it came against Maine during his true freshman season in 2024. He was a three-star recruit out of high school, and he is the cousin of former OU running back Marcus Dupree.
Dent will bring MSU and head coach Jeff Lebby, who left his post as the OC in Norman to go to Starkville shortly before Dent signed with the Sooners, depth along the offensive line and he has three seasons of eligibility remaining. Dent will see his former team on the field in 2026, as Oklahoma travels to Mississippi State on October 24th.
The Sooners have already added some new faces at offensive line in the transfer portal, and there are still five days remaining before players can no longer enter their name in the portal. Western Kentucky transfer Caleb Nitta, Arkansas transfer E’Marion Harris, Central Oklahoma transfer Kenneth Wermy, and Georgia Tech transfer Peyton Joseph are the four offensive lineman who have committed to Oklahoma out of the portal.
