Four Lackawanna Football Conference and Times-Tribune All-Region players were selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches’ Association Small-School (Class 1A-Class 3A) East-West all-star game.
Lakeland quarterback David Naniewicz and teammate Weston Loomis, a defensive lineman, Lackawanna Trail linebacker Tyler Jervis, and Scranton Prep defensive back Will McPartland are part of the East Roster that was announced Monday morning.

Former Western Wayne head coach Shane Grodack is an assistant coach for the game that is scheduled for May 17 at noon at Cumberland Valley High School.
Wyoming Area offensive lineman Max Getzie, Berwick defensive lineman JJ Leonard, and Hanover Area coach Eric Richardson are also part of the East participants.
The roster for the Big School (Class 4A-Class 6A) will be announced on Tuesday.
Naniewicz, who is headed to Lackawanna College, and Loomis, who committed to the University of Rochester, led Lakeland to the LFC Division II and District 2 Class 2A championship this past season.
Both were three-year starters for the Chiefs, who had an 11-2 overall record.

Naniewicz, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound dual threat, was the LFC Division II Coaches’ Offensive Player of the Year. He completed 125 of 198 passes with six interceptions. He threw for 1,743 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also led the team with 938 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. He finished his career with 3,758 yards passing and 35 touchdowns and had 1,464 yards rushing with 24 touchdowns.
Loomis, a 6-1, 260-pound two-way LFC Division II Coaches’ all-star lineman, had 47 total tackles, an interception, and a fumble recovery.
Jervis helped Lackawanna Trail win the LFC Division III and District 2 Class 1A championships. The Lions finished 12-2 overall. Jervis, a 5-10, 160-pound outside linebacker, led the Lions with 87 and had seven tackles for loss. He had five sacks, four interceptions, and three fumble recoveries and returned two interceptions and two fumbles for touchdowns this season.
McPartland, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound multi-talented athlete, returned from a torn ACL suffered in the state playoffs during his junior season and led the Cavaliers to the District 2 Class 3A championship.
Grodack resigned as the head coach at Western Wayne following last season. He had a three-year record of 20-14, which included the program’s first 10-win season in 2024.
