Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano was the first Big 12 player off the board, projected to go No. 7 overall to the Las Vegas Raiders. Fano has built a reputation as one of the premier linemen in the country, and his combination of size, footwork, and physicality makes him a cornerstone prospect in the eyes of NFL evaluators.
Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt landed just two picks later at No. 9 to the Los Angeles Rams. After emerging as one of the most dynamic signal-callers in the Big 12, Leavitt’s arm strength and mobility give him the traits that NFL teams covet in a modern quarterback. His placement in the top 10 reflects growing belief that he could develop into a franchise leader at the next level.
