The Los Angeles Rams might be the best team in football right now. They entered the season as a dark horse to come out of the NFC, but they’ve been much better than anticipated.
Sean McVay has proven again to be one of the best head coaches in the game, and Matthew Stafford is playing the best football of his career. Add a top-notch defense to the mix, and you have a formula for success. In fact, as shown by ESPN insider Adam Schefter on X, what they’re doing is second to none in this league:
“Signs of the Rams’ dominance: Rams have won six straight games and in their past five games, they have outscored their opponents 63-3 in the first quarter. Against the Jaguars, 49ers and Buccaneers, they have held leads of 21-0. The Rams haven’t trailed since the first quarter of Week 6, when Baltimore led Los Angeles 3-0,” Schefter posted on X.

The Rams traded away their entire future to make a run at the Super Bowl. They reached the big game twice, won it once, and rebuilt their roster mostly with mid and late-round draft picks. Now, they could be back to the Super Bowl in no time, with almost no time to rebuild, and with Aaron Donald walking away from the game.
That’s a testament to a front office with an outstanding scouting department and to a head coach who knows how to develop his players and surrounds himself with bright football minds. Despite his youth, McVay already has a coaching tree of his own.
The Rams will look to keep their foot on the gas when they play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. And while Dave Canales’ team has been much better this season, Bryce Young and company will most likely have plenty of catching up to do in this game.
