The Carolina Panthers were dealt a huge blow.
Rookie second-rounder Nic Scourton will be on the shelf for a while.
According to a report by ESPN insider Adam Schefter, Panthers head coach Dave Canales revealed that Scourton was now listed as week-to-week after suffering a collapsed lung.

The Texas A&M product sustained the delicate condition during Thursday’s joint practice with the Houston Texans.
He was initially diagnosed with heat-related symptoms.
He was later taken to the Memorial Hermann Medical Center in Houston for further examinations, and it was found that he had suffered a collapsed lung instead.
Scourton spent the night at the hospital before being driven back to Charlotte.
He couldn’t fly because flying can worsen his condition.
The edge rusher arrived on Saturday morning and was joined by one of the team’s trainers and some family members.
This is a delicate situation, and the team will have to keep a close eye on him for the time being.
Hopefully, it won’t be a long-term issue, and he’ll be back on the field and out of harm’s way before it’s too late.
The Panthers are also dealing with another key injury, as backup veteran QB Andy Dalton sustained an elbow injury after being hit on a throw on Saturday.
He will also undergo further testing, but coach Canales didn’t sound overly worried about him.
The Panthers will close out their preseason on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they won’t have any of their starters take the field, per the coach.
