SCHC attackers Maud van den Heuvel and Jip Dicke will join the training of Oranje for the first time on Monday. They will be given an internship in the training group by national coach Raoul Ehren. We also see Yibbi Jansen, Freeke Moes and Xan de Waard back with the Dutch team.
Yibbi Jansen and Freeke Moes are back with the national team after participating in the Hockey India League. The pair did not yet appear in action for the Dutch national team in 2025. The fact that Xan de Waard will rejoin the national team was announced earlier. After the Olympics, she opted for a period without the Dutch team, but found out during her sabbatical that she wanted to return. Maria Verschoor also took a field hockey break. She put a stop to her career this week.
Jip Dicke and Maud van den Heuvel are new to the Orange. Ehren rewarded their play in the Tulip big league with an internship. The pair will get four weeks to play their way into the spotlight. Newcomers Babette Backers, Sofie ter Kuile, Mette Winter and Imke Verstraeten were missing in February during the Pro League trip to India, but are now part of the 31-member training group again.
