Madison Keys will return to Charleston in 2026.
The tournament announced that Keys, 30 and currently ranked No.6 in the world after a season that saw her win her maiden major title at the 2025 Australian Open, will return to the event.
Keys won the title in Charleston in 2019.
The Charleston Open will take place from March 28 – April 5, 2026 next year.
Keys holds a 21-11 lifetime record in Charleston. She was a finalist in 2015, reached the semifinals in 2018, and made quarterfinal appearances in 2013 and 2023.
“Charleston is one of my absolute favorite tournaments. The fans are amazing, the city is beautiful and the event always feels so welcoming,” said the American in a statement on the tournament’s website. “I’ve played here every year since I was a teenager. I’ve never missed it, and I never want to. Coming back for the 13th time just feels really special, like coming home.”
Jessica Pegula won the title in Charleston in 2025, defeating Sofia Kenin in the final.
