Washington DC tennis fans will enjoy a star-studded player field for this year’s Mubadala Citi DC Open coming up later this summer.

The long running kick-off event to the North American hard-court season, and the only combined ATP/WTA 500 event, will feature this year seven top-10 players across both tours, eight of the ATP’s top 14, and six of the WTA’s top 13.

The field also includes five Grand Slam champions, and 16 Americans, including the top nine American men, all set to compete for the title.

Top ranked Americans Taylor Fritz and Jessica Pegula are set to compete along with local favorite Frances Tiafoe and last year’s women’s singles champion Paula Badosa.

This year’s lineup includes more top-ranked players and global stars than ever before, and our fans are in for an unforgettable week of world-class tennis right here in Washington at the only combined 500 level tournament in the world,” said Mark Ein, Chairman of the Mubadala Citi DC Open.

“This year’s field is testament to how much players love coming to Washington, DC and how much our passionate community has embraced this event over the last 50 years.”

Recent additions to the player field include recent four-time Major champion and former World No. 1 Naomi Osaka, Roland-Garros semifinalist Lorenzo Musetti, 2021 US Open champion Daniil Medvedev, World No. 10 Ben Shelton, 2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin, 2016 DC Open champion Gael Monfils, World No. 13 and 2025 Doha champion Amanda Anisimova, World No. 11 and 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina, World No. 24 and 2024 DC Open finalist Flavio Cobolli, World No. 12 and four-time WTA singles champion Diana Shnaider, and World No. 17 and 2025 Miami champion Jakub Mensik, along with Emma Navarro and 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu.

“I love playing in DC, and I especially love this tournament. I’m so happy to be back and to compete again in front of the stadium’s unforgettable fans in this incredible city,” said Raducanu.
