Caroline Wozniacki will be back at Roland Garros this weekend—serving as an analyst for TNT’s maiden French Open coverage, which starts Sunday.
Don’t expect Wozniacki to resume her competitive career anytime soon.
Former world No. 1 Wozniacki and Hall of Famer Jim Courier conducted a Zoom call with the media to promote TNT’s Roland Garros coverage.
TNT Sports, the exclusive home of live Roland-Garros coverage in the U.S., said it plans to “provide the most comprehensive coverage in the history of the Parisian Grand Slam.”
It all starts Sunday, May 25, at 5 a.m. ET on TNT, truTV and Max. TNT Sports will deliver nearly 300 hours of programming across TNT and truTV — all originating live from Paris — along with unprecedented streaming coverage on Max and extensive original content available via Bleacher Report and House of Highlights.
Wozniacki said given she’s seven-and-a-half months pregnant, there’s a pregnant pause in her competitive career.
The 34-year-old Wozniacki said she has not officially retired and is unsure if she’ll play professionally again.
“I’m currently seven and a half months pregnant so I don’t think you’ll see me at Wimbledon,” Wozniacki said when asked if she’d consider a Wimbledon or US Open wild card. “I don’t know what the future holds at this point, I’m not sure.
“Honestly I haven’t made a decision yet. I don’t know how my body is gonna feel after this baby.”
The baby will be the third child for 2018 Australian Open champion Wozniacki and husband and former NBA all star David Lee. Wozniacki is mom to daughter, Olivia, 3, and 2-year-old son James.
While coming back from giving birth to three children might seem an impossible ask, Wozniacki said she’s taking a wait-and-see approach.
“I can’t answer that [retirement] question until I see where I’m at,” Wozniacki said. “Where my body feels, what I feel like mentally and physically. So I’m not sure.”
