June 2025 tickets update: The official ticket supplier is now sold out of all Sunday and 3-day tickets for the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix. A limited number of 3-day tickets (Hungaroring and Podium grandstands) are still available in our Hungarian Grand Prix Ticket Shop. Limited tickets (priced at €40) are also available for Thursday’s high speed test and pit lane walk and can be purchased here.

Held outside Budapest at the height of the European summer, the Hungarian Grand Prix offers excellent spectator viewing and a laid-back atmosphere. This year’s race attracted a 3-day crowd of 310,000 fans. The Hungarian race is set to remain on the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2032. With the event’s future secure, the organizers are working on major development works to bring the circuit’s ageing infrastructure into the 21st century. After this year’s edition of the race, the entire pit building was demolished, as well as most grandstands, and works have already begun on entirely new structures, which are to be ready for the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix. For much of its existence, the Hungarian Grand Prix has been one of the cheapest races to attend on the entire F1 calendar. Prices have risen significantly in 2025 with the construction of new grandstands at the Hungaroring (read below), though plenty of affordable seats remain. Given the relatively affordable prices and enduring popularity of the race in Hungary, we recommend securing your 2025 tickets as soon as possible.

Changes to Hungaroring Grandstands in 2025

As part of circuit renovation works, the majority of grandstands at the Hungaroring will be replaced by new structures ahead of the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix. As a result, all grandstands on sale for next year’s race have been given new names. Prices have also risen, and the cheapest Row 1-12 seats in the covered Hungaroring Grandstand (previously Super Gold, opposite the pits) are no longer available. Instead, a new Platinum category for this grandstand sees higher prices for the seats in the top rows. In our Hungaroring grandstand analysis, we’ve noted the previous names of grandstands, where applicable. Please note that not all grandstands have a direct replacement, as the new grandstand layout will be slightly different, especially for the handful of grandstands clustered around the final corner at the Hungaroring.

Where to Buy Hungary F1 Tickets?

We recommend buying your tickets for the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix from our trusted supplier Grand Prix Tickets (GPT). Tickets are official and from the promoter’s allocation. When buying more than one ticket in one transaction, you will be seated together.

We also recommend Official Ticket Packages from F1 Experiences. Choose from grandstand seats with exciting trackside access or upgrade to all-inclusive hospitality in the Champions Club or Formula 1 Paddock Club. Hotel rooms and circuit transfers can be added to your booking.

Best Tickets to Buy at the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix?

Budget (€100-200): The General Admission offer (€165 for 3 days) at the Hungaroring offer excellent panoramic views, and there’s plenty of room in larger areas to not have to fight for space. Alternatively, the cheapest Chicane 1 & 2 grandstands (previously Bronze 1 & 2), which cost €330 for 3 days, are only a little more expensive and you get a guaranteed seat for 3 days.

Mid-Range (€200-600): Some of the best (and most affordable!) grandstands at the Hungaroring are clustered the final corner, including Apex 1 and Grand Prix 1-2 (previously Silver 3-4, Red Bull). The new T1 Grandstand (previously Gold 4) offers excellent views of the first corner, while the Hungaroring Grandstand (previously Super Gold), priced at €660 for 3 days, offers views of the pits and start and is the only covered grandstand at the Hungaroring (good for keeping out of the hot sun). Another good choice, especially for first time visitors, are the “3 Corner” tickets that included seats in different grandstand on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Hospitality (>€600): The hospitality offer at the Hungaroring is not particularly extensive, though the VIP Fan Lounge (2-day access from €1936 EUR) offers great views and very affordable pricing. The Champions Club by F1 Experiences (€3,670 for 3 days) moves to a new location on the outside of Turn 2 for 2025 and is recommended for all-inclusive hospitality and access to insider activities such as a tour of the F1 Paddock. The more expensive Formula 1 Paddock Club (from 6,920 for 3 days) offers the ultimate hospitality experience in Hungary. See below for more information.

Hospitality Suites at the Hungaroring

VIP Fan Lounge

Located at the top of the Hungaroring (previously Super Gold) Grandstand opposite the pits and starting grid, the VIP Fan Lounge offers some of the most competitively priced hospitality on the current F1 calendar. As well as a 3-day seat in sector A of the Hungaroring grandstand (left side), you’ll also enjoy full catering on Saturday and Sunday, with a buffet breakfast and lunch, snacks and an open bar serving coffee, tea, soft drinks, beer and wine. VIP Fan Lounge 3-day packages (€1,936 EUR) are now sold out. (View the VIP Fan Lounge brochure)

Champions Club by F1 Experiences

Previously located at the pit exit and in the same building as the Paddock Club, the Champions Club moves to a new location on the outside of Turn 2 for 2025. This is a good mid-priced hospitality suite at the Hungaroring that includes all-inclusive food and drink with guest appearances, grid walk and guided tour of the F1 Paddock. Champions Club is now on sale for 2025 (3-day access from €3780)

Formula 1 Paddock Club

The best VIP hospitality in Hungary is found in the Paddock Club, above the pits. Enjoy gourmet seated meals, activations, guest appearances and daily pit lane walks. Higher-priced Legend Ticket Packages also include a VIP Paddock Pass for one day and priority access to the post-race podium. Paddock Club & Legend Packages are now on sale for 2025 (3-day access from €7,200)

Hungaroring Grandstands

Given the natural contours of the circuit, most of the grandstands at the Hungaroring offer decent elevated views of the action – some over more than one corner. We think the best views can be found above the final corner, in the grandstands now known as Apex 1 and Grand Prix 1-2 (previously Silver 3-4 and Red Bull grandstands). See below for a full analysis of every grandstand at the Hungarian Grand Prix, including video views of each.

Hungaroring Grandstand (Previously Super Gold)

The Hungaroring grandstand (previously known as Super Gold) is the only covered stand at the Hungaroring and is great for keeping out of the hot summer sun!  It is located across from the start-finish line, top teams pit garages and podium. Great seats for the race build-up and start, but you won’t see much in the way of on-track action.

For 2025, there are two categories in the Hungaroring grandstand. Regular tickets and Hungaroring Platinum tickets, which occupy the top rows of the grandstand and are higher priced. (Previously, the Super Gold grandstand offered cheaper seats in Rows 1-12 because views are obscured by the catch fencing, you may not have got full shade, and you may not be able to see over the high pit wall at the Hungaroring. Sadly, the cheaper seats are no longer being offered.)

Grid 1 Grandstand (Previously Gold 1)

The Grid 1 grandstand (previously Gold 1) is located on the pit straight, opposite the pits of the top teams and next to the start/finish line. This grandstand is good for pits action, the race start and the podium ceremony, but go for the similarly priced grandstands above the final corner if you want to see more on-track action.

Grid 2 Grandstand (Previously Silver 1)

Grid 2 (previously Silver 1) is located at the start of the pit straight, just after the final Turn 14. As well as a ringside view of the circuit’s final turn, you’ll also get a distant view of Turn 12, the pit entry, pit straight and back of the grid for the race start.

Pit Exit Grandstand (Previously Gold 3, Pit Exit)

The two grandstands known as Gold 3 and Pit Exit will be combined in 2025 into one grandstand, known as Pit Exit Grandstand. The new grandstand is located on the pit straight, between the pit exit and Turn 1. It’s closer to the first corner, but the views in the new T1 grandstand (previously Gold 4) are much better and only at a slightly higher price point.

T1 Grandstand (Previously Gold 4)

If you are after lots of on-track action and passing moves, T1 grandstand (previously Gold 4) is a solid choice. As the name suggest, the T1 grandstand overlooks the first corner, which is the best overtaking spot at the Hungaroring. You’ll also get a great view of the race start and be close to both the large fanzone behind the main grandstand on the pit straight and Gate 8 for a quick exit from the circuit. Recommended.

Grand Prix 1 Grandstand (Previously Red Bull)

The Grand Prix 1 grandstand (previously Red Bull) is situated close to the exit of Turn 14. As well as a ringside view of the circuit’s final turn, you’ll also get a distant view of Turn 12, the pit entry, pit straight and back of the grid for the race start. A solid mid-price choice at the Hungaroring. (Please note that the grandstand known as Silver 2, which offered similar views, is not being sold for 2025)

Grand Prix 2 Grandstand (Previously Silver 4)

The Grand Prix 2 grandstand (previously Silver 4) is set further back from the circuit, located on the hill behind Grand Prix 1 and with more elevation than other grandstands overlooking the final corner. This grandstand provides excellent panoramic views of Turns 12-14 and the pit straight. Recommended.

Apex 1 Grandstand (Previously Silver 3)

The Apex 1 grandstand (previously Silver 3) sits above the final corner at the Hungaroring, Turn 14. Depending on where you sit, you will have a better view of Turns 12-13 and the pit entry, or the exit of Turn 14 and up the pit straight. One of the most popular grandstands at the Hungaroring, and rightly so.

Fan Grandstand (Previously Silver 5)

Newly named as the Fan Grandstand for 2025, the old Silver 5 grandstand is located on the short straight between Turns 11 and 12. From the higher rows,  you will also have a distant view from Turns 9-10 through to Turns 13-14. The Fan grandstand is one of the most affordable at the circuit, but better to go for one of the grandstands on the final corner if you can afford to pay a little more. One advantage of the Fan Grandstand is that the new fan zone with stage is located on the hill behind it.

Chicane 1 Grandstand (Previously Bronze 1)

The Chicane grandstands (previously Bronze) offer excellent value and decent views of the track. Chicane 1 (previously Bronze 1) offers views of Turn 5, a fourth gear right hander taken at around 220km/hr. Nevertheless, we prefer Chicane 2 – see below.

Chicane 2 Grandstand (Previously Bronze 2)

The Chicane 2 grandstand (previously Bronze 2) is the better of the two grandstands in this location. You’ll have a decent view of the cars taking Turn 6. The disadvantage of the Chicane seats in general is that you have a long walk to the hub of the action and main fan zones at the Hungaroring. On the positive side, these grandstand are located close to Gate 3 for shuttle buses to public transport on race weekend.

General Admission at the Hungaroring

Much like the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the Hungaroring is situated in a natural amphitheater. This means that the General Admission areas offer excellent viewing opportunities, especially between turns 9 and 14. Many of the grassy GA areas are located on higher ground behind the grandstands (particularly at turn 14) so whilst the view is often quite distant, you still get the opportunity to see large swathes of the track, as well as the big TV screens for the grandstands (bring binoculars so you can follow the action). At just over €100 for 3-day tickets (cheaper with early-bird discount), these are some of the best value General Admission tickets on the current F1 calendar.
