The veteran centre has reportedly agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Rockets worth $39 million, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania on Saturday.
Adams, 31, played in 58 games this past season after missing all of the 2023-24 campaign due to injury. He averaged over 13 minutes a night, 5.6 rebounds and 3.9 points – his lowest total since his rookie season.
However, Adams played a key role for Houston during the playoffs, playing 22.1 minutes-per-game, 5.7 points and 6.6 rebounds.
Adams’ impact in the playoffs went far beyond his personal stats too. With the six-foot-11 big-man on the court, the Rockets were plus-44, as opposed to minus-44 with him on the bench.
