The Toronto Raptors have continued filling out their organizational depth in the lead-up to training camp.
The Raptors have signed Tyson Degenhart, the team announced Monday. Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy reported that the deal is an Exhibit 10 contract.
An Exhibit 10 contract secures players an elevated salary if they do not make an NBA roster and instead join a team’s G League affiliate, in this case, the Raptors 905.
Degenhart averaged only 1.9 minutes with the Raptors at Summer League this past July. During his final year at Boise State, the six-foot-seven forward posted a stat line of 18.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
The addition of Degenhart is the latest Exhibit 10 deal by Toronto after signing the Montreal-born Quincey Guerrier, Tyreke Key and Jarkel Joiner earlier in the month.
Both Guerrier and Key were subsequently waived and will earn a bonus of roughly $80,000 if they make the 905 roster. The same would be true for Joiner and Degenhart if they are waived.
The Raptors training camp will take place in Calgary between Sept. 30 and Oct. 2.
