Free agent center Al Horford has committed to a multi-year deal with the Golden State Warriors. It’s been expected that Horford would join the Warriors for a while now, but the sides have now agreed to a deal.
Horford officially signing with Golden State will still need to wait until the Jonathan Kuminga situation is resolved. That’s the reason that the length or value of the deal weren’t in this recent report of a commitment between Horford and the Warriors.
Horford is heading into his 19th NBA season. He started in 42 of the 60 games he played for the Boston Celtics last season. Horford averaged 9.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 27.6 minutes per game.
Horford spent the last four seasons with the Celtics, after playing for two years with the Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder. Horford spent the first nine years of his career with the Atlanta Hawks before his initial three-year stint with Boston.
