If you’re a UConn men’s or women’s basketball fan, you’re going to need to have your remote– and possibly your credit card info– handy this season.
In order to watch all of the games, you’re going to need access to no less than eight different TV channels or streaming platforms, and likely three different subscriptions.
(You might also need to bookmark our stories on TV info for the men and women so your head doesn’t start spinning).
To catch all the action, you will need an ESPN+ subscription, a cable or streaming service package that includes FOX, ESPN, NBC, TNT, truTV, and FS1. Oh, and you’re going to need Peacock’s premium service, which costs $10.99 per month.
Nine UConn men’s basketball games and seven women’s games will air exclusively on Peacock, including high-profile Big East games against Butler (Dec. 16), Providence (Jan. 7 and 27), Xavier (Dec. 31 and Feb. 13), and a much-anticipated showdown against St. John’s on Feb. 25.
On the women’s side, a non-conference game against Ohio State (Nov. 16) and Big East games with Marquette (Dec. 17), Providence (Dec. 31), Creighton (Feb. 11) and Villanova (Feb. 18) will air on the service.
If you plan to ring in the New Year with UConn hoops, you’ll need Peacock. The Huskies will essentially be playing a men’s and women’s doubleheader (women at Providence at 3 p.m., men at Xavier at 5), streaming there.
The reason for the change this season is that this is the first year of a six-year media rights deal the Big East made, which runs through 2030-31.
