Since Notre Dame lost its first two games of the season, it has needed some help from other teams while continuing to win, and that happened once again in Week 11 and was reflected that way in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Irish moved up a spot, and while it might not seem like a big deal, it is, as it helps the perception that they should be firmly in the conversation for a spot in the College Football Playoff. There wasn’t any movement in the top-7, as Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and Ole Miss all won.
It was after those top teams that saw some changes which benefitted Notre Dame. The college football season is getting closer to the end of the regular season, as its starting to become clear which teams have legit chances to make the playoff and which don’t.
