Well, the Braves plugged their starting shortstop hole with Ha-Seong Kim. Are they spent out, other than minor reliever-type moves? I asked about another sizable reliever deal earlier, but the offseason isn’t quite over, so really, we’re just talking about the title at this point: is it going to be relatively quiet from now until Spring Training begins, or is there going to be another move in the works?
The last thing to add would be a starter, in theory. This Front Office has surprised us with totally unexpected stuff before, but a relatively reliable arm could be useful for a rotation that’s, to a man, recovering from injury in some fashion. That might also help them feel better about clearing away some of the out-of-options guys (like Bryce Elder) in a move that buys them some flexibility.
Anyway, I won’t dwell on it too long, since Alex Anthopoulos and company move in the shadows. But, what do you think?
