Reports have surfaced that Michigan State football has made another major move to their coaching staff on Sunday evening. The Spartans will be retaining two coaches on their offensive staff.
Wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins and tight ends coach Brian Wozniak will be retained on Pat Fitzgerald’s staff under new offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan.

Hawkins, the former Michigan State star wide receiver, will now be serving under his third head coach (fourth if you count Harlon Barnett’s interim tenure) during his coaching career in East Lansing. He was hired in 2020 and has served as the wide receivers coach since.
Wozniak, an Ohio native and Wisconsin graduate, served his entire coaching career at Oregon State from 2015 to 2023, before being brought to East Lansing with Jonathan Smith in 2024. He has done an outstanding job with the MSU tight ends, and will be a welcomed addition to the new staff in East Lansing.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported the news that both will be returning under Fitzgerald and Sheridan.
