Colby Covington delivered on his promise, dominating his RAF 5 headlining bout against Luke Rockhold 10-0.
The shutout victory was no surprise, given Covington’s elite wrestling background and otherworldly cardio. Despite a successful return to the mats, ‘Chaos’ isn’t ready to ride off into the sunset, instead opting to call for a much tougher opponent next.
Despite his status in combat sports, Luke Rockhold was unable to mount any serious offense against Colby Covington during their Real American Freestyle wrestling match on Saturday. Covington leaned on his superior NCAA wrestling background, scoring takedowns at will and ultimately winning by technical fall with a commanding 12-0 score in under two periods.

As was the case leading into the match, Covington praised Rockhold following his one-sided victory.
“He felt very strong,” Covington said following his win. He was a big guy. I have a lot of respect for that guy.”
“He was a worthy opponent, and I’m honored to share the mat with Luke Rockhold.”
Controversy has followed Covington throughout his career, and fans remain divided in their feeling toward the former interim UFC welterweight champion.
Love him or hate him, several abilities that the 37-year-old can’t be denied: his wrestling and cardio. As he enters the latter stages of his career, Covington wants to prove to the world he still has what it takes to compete with, and potentially beat, the best in the world.

“GSP, get out here in Real American Freestyle, and let’s make it happen. I’ll talk to my people and they’ll come to your people, and let’s make it happen.”
