A Miami Hurricanes standout will return to school for one more season in 2026 for a staggering eighth season of NCAA eligibility.
Mohamed Toure, a senior linebacker, plans to return to the Hurricanes, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Toure led the Hurricanes with 84 total tackles on the season.
How can one player possibly play eight seasons of college football? For Toure, the math is actually quite straightforward. He redshirted as a true freshman at Rutgers in 2019, and then received a sixth year of eligibility due to the COVID-shortened 2020 season.
He then tore his ACL in 2022 and 2024 while playing for Rutgers, and received a medical redshirt each time.
