The Georgia Bulldogs received big news on Monday, as 2027 five-star running back Kemon Spell announced his commitment to the Bulldogs.
Spell is the No. 1 running back in his class and the No. 7 player overall, per 247 Sports Composite. He competes for McKeesport High School in Pennsylvania, where he’s the top-ranked player in the state.

The 5-foot-9, 205-pound back was highly sought after during his recruitment, originally committing to Penn State but going back on his pledge after head coach James Franklin was let go. Spell held offers from nearly every Power 4 program headlined by the likes of Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon and Miami.
But ultimately, Spell decided to commit to Georgia and join what head coach Kirby Smart has built into a physical program in the SEC.
With the addition of Spell to their 2027 recruiting class, the Bulldogs now hold the No. 8 ranking in the 2027 cycle with the headliner being the top-ranked running back in the class in Spell.

It’s looking to be another strong class for the Bulldogs, who signed the 11th-ranked group in the nation in 2026.
