This one is a reminder why you never count anyone out in MMA.
Zach Carter came out strong at RUF 66, landing clean strikes early and scoring a big takedown in the amateur 125 lb bout. From there, Carter stayed in control on the ground, working in ground and pound and looking like the fighter in command heading into the final minute of the round.
Then Nam Le changed everything with one punch.
After absorbing nearly two minutes of pressure, Le found his moment and landed a fight-ending shot that put Carter away — a KO at 1:54 of round 1.
