Even in its most toned-down colorways, though there aren’t many that fit the bill, the Nike Ja 3 is an unexpected, cutting-edge design. Its extended spikes of Ja branding and aggressive overall design language led many to stamp it as the finest in Morant’s lineage to date. As eye-catching looks continue to flood the newswire, from the geographically locked “Warning Label” to general release counterparts like the “Murray State,” that argument only grows stronger.
However, as always, the Swoosh only ups the ante when it comes to the pairs earmarked for their athletes. Around WNBA All-Star Weekend in July 2025, on-foot shots began circulating of a Nike Ja 3 colorway for the occasion, built to match the fiery gradients of the game’s jersey. Later donned by the likes of Natasha Howard in regular season action and Ja Morant himself on the men’s side, we’ve now uncovered in-hand images that flex all it has to offer.
The immediate and most crucial aspect is that the hothouse inspirations don’t only extend to the red/orange stack that paints the shoe as a whole, but also to a creative use of this silo as a canvas; graphic licks of flame creep up the upper, printed atop the usual rubber triangle textures. The midsole window wears a “25” stamp to anchor its original narrative purpose, and the graffiti-style “JA” branding appears across the lateral and medial sides, a touch that’s so far usually been used on hoops-focused efforts like the “NY v. NY” or the “EYBL.” To end on the finer details, an engulfed Nike Basketball logo on the insole and sizzling aglets close out this scorching edition.
Given its initial debut is months in the rearview at this point, and the time-specific aspects of its colorway, the Nike Ja 3 “WNBA” is almost certainly locked away from public hands. However, the in-hand shots below offer us our best look at the shoe nonetheless. Watch our Sneaker Release Dates page to stay in the loop on product actually coming to shelves.
