Kush Maini took the second pole position of his FIA Formula 2 career by narrowly beating Rafael Camara to top spot in Miami.
In a tightly fought contest, the Alpine Academy ART Grand Prix driver completed a 1:39.888 with his final lap to take the Aramco Pole Position Award by just 0.033s from Invicta Racing’s Camara.
Rodin Motorsport’s Martinius Stenshorne rounded out a close top three, finishing 0.050s behind Maini, while his teammate Alexander Dunne ended up in P4.
Gabriele Minì rounded out the top five for MP Motorsport ahead of Van Amersfoort Racing’s Nico Varrone in sixth.
Joshua Duerksen made it two Invicta cars in the top 10 with a run to P7 ahead of MP’s Oliver Goethe in eighth.
TRIDENT’s Laurens van Hoepen wound up in P9 while Campos Racing’s Nikola Tsolov completed the top 10.
The Red Bull junior recovered from an early stoppage in Free Practice to take reverse grid pole for the Sprint Race, where the championship leader will aim for a second victory of the season.
