In a class with few clear options at quarterback, Taylen Green set himself apart with a historic scouting combine performance.
The former Arkansas Razorback, who measured six feet, five-and-7/8 inches and weighed 227 pounds, set quarterback combine records in the broad jump (11’2″) and vertical jump (43.5″), breaking the previous marks set in both categories by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (10’9″, 40.5″), the No. 4 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Green also ran an unofficial 4.37-second 40-yard dash, 0.02 seconds short of the record set by Reggie McNeal, who transitioned to wide receiver at the pro level.
While the results don’t guarantee he’ll have a long or successful NFL career, Green’s performance was the kind that could cause front offices to consider him as a more valuable flier option among the second tier of quarterback prospects.
