Wilson shared a video on social media documenting the trip to Austin, giving fans a look inside the program’s facilities while highlighting the growing bond between the veteran quarterback and the 11-year-old. The visit included stops at DKR and several football and baseball areas across the campus.
“Well, what do you think?” Wilson asked from the front seat of the car in the video as they arrived on campus.
“I love Texas, man. This school is great,” Future replied while looking out the window. “Everything is bigger in Texas.”
The video later showed the pair touring locker rooms, the trophy display and film areas while also posing for photos with Texas head football coach Steve Sarkisian. Wilson captioned the post, “Hook ’Em! Fun time! Future’s first campus visit!”

Wilson has frequently spoken about his role as a father figure to Future, the son of his wife, singer Ciara and rapper Future. The couple married in 2016, and in 2025 Ciara publicly added Wilson’s surname to Future’s name. It was a moment many said was evidence of their close relationship.

The visit also drew attention online, with Texas fans welcoming the duo while others praised Wilson’s hands-on parenting approach. Family connections have long been part of the Longhorn tradition. Arch Manning represents another famous football family on the Forty Acres.
Wilson, a 10-time Pro Bowler who played the 2025 season with the New York Giants, remains a free agent but has said he plans to continue playing in 2026.
