Amid the speculation, Nate Diaz has booked his MMA return. However, instead of being reunited with the UFC, Diaz will collide with Mike Perry on the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano Netflix show.
Rumors surrounding the Stockton native’s career began heating up, with some expecting him to feature at the White House to complete the Conor McGregor trilogy. The reports of his comeback were true, but the 40-year-old has snubbed the octagon and will instead compete on the high-profile Rousey vs. Carano event on May 16.
Most Valuable Promotions is committed to making sure its first mixed martial arts event lives up to expectations, with several big-name fights already scheduled in the lineup. Alongside the announcement of a Francis Ngannou surprise feature, Nate Diaz will meet Mike Perry for a welterweight contest on the same card as Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano, which in itself is a decade-old fantasy fight for fans of the sport.

Nate Diaz and Mike Perry will undoubtedly make for a fun fight and an even more entertaining buildup. Excited to be back, Diaz spoke out about his return ahead of the May 16 card.
“Glad to be back in action. It’s time,” Diaz said as he teased his return one week earlier. “Don’t forget where this all came from. I got plans on doing a lot more in the next 10 years, no matter where it is. Time to set the bar again, so get ready for a new takeover again and again until the end of time.”
