At week 30, the race for the English Premier League is getting hotter with Arsenal gapping Manchester City by 9 points. Even betting on Neosurf casino is getting more exciting with many crucial matches yet to be played. The Gunners have competed but only came second in the past 3 seasons. But their dreams are looking more realistic as they lead the league with just 8 games to go.

Currently, Arsenal have 70 points with 7 prem games left, and Manchester City have 61 points with 8 matches left. Having seen City coming back to win from similar situations in past seasons keeps the title race open. We believe Mikel Arteta’s side will give all it takes to maintain consistency even as Pep Guardiola’s team tries to overtake them.

Current Premier League Standings

At the 30th round, the Premier League Table 2025/2026 shows that Manchester United is out of the race, creating an Arsenal-Man City title race. With accurate Arsenal Match Predictions, experts believe it’s Arsenal’s year, while others believe they will bottle it.

As it stands, Arsenal have just 7 games remaining to play, City have 8 games, with an outstanding against Crystal Palace. Below are the remaining features for both teams for the remainder of the 2025/2026 season.

Key Matches That Could Decide the Title

At this stage of the League, every game is a final, as it may help decide the top four teams that go to the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League. In light of that, some PL matches outcome will directly affect the title race. These games are the last 7 games Arsenal are to play, and the last 8 games City are to play, as shown in the previous table. Although these upcoming games mean a lot in determining the title races, all eyes are on the Man City vs Arsenal fixture.

Top head-to-head clashes

The last 20 Premier League matches between these sides have seen City with 13 wins and Arsenal with just 2 wins. They tied 5 times. Over the years, City have added to their boast a collection of 21 major trophies, while Arsenal won only 9 in the same period. Further, the last match between the two teams ended in a 1-all draw at the Emirates Stadium. This makes the second leg scheduled for April 19th even more intriguing. However, Arsenal leads in all-time EPL head-to-head clashes with:

Total Meetings: 57

Arsenal Wins: 25

Man City Wins: 19

Draws: 13

Upcoming Fixtures to Watch

The upcoming EPL matches today are now what decides the title champions and determines who goes to the Champions League or Europa.

A win against Bournemouth will extend Arsenal’s lead to 12 points. It will not be an easy task since Bournemouth is a strong team and won’t go down easily. City, on the other hand, happens to have a tougher test since they will play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Pep’s side have emerged winners in their last 3 visits, but Chelsea will be racing to secure a European spot. The match can go either way, but City cannot afford to drop any points this time.

Players and Performers Who Could Tip the Balance

When we talk about players who could tip the balance of the EPL matches over time, we are talking about players who are ready to put in their all for the team. It does not have to be the highest goal scorer or the player with the most assists. These are players who are ready to play attack and still run back to defend effortlessly.

Arsenal Top Performers

We all know the Arsenal squad is packed with talent, but some players deliver something more than just talent, and these Arsenal players do just that:

David Raya: The Arsenal keeper is ready to collide with the crossbar just to keep the ball out of the net. This consistency has earned him 14 clean sheets this season with just 7 matches to go. Now the question is, can his reflexes save Arsenal from droppings points? Only time will tell.

Gabriel Magalhães: Gabriel is a defensive rock that is very difficult to shake off. His tackles, crucial block and strong leadership have helped keep Arsenal’s defence compact. One slip from him can lead to a crumpled defensive line for Arsenal.

Declan Rice: He is one of the few players at Arsenal that can play different positions on the pitch. Wherever his team needs him the most, there you will find him.

Viktor Gyökeres: Though he had a slow start, he still has 16 goals to his name and 2 good assists.

Manchester City Top Performers

Pep Guardiola’s side struggled with inconsistency earlier this season, but the addition of some top players has helped them fight back. Some of them are:

Gianluigi Donnarumma: He has been unstoppable with 11 clean sheets and many incredible saves. His shot-stopping ability gives him an edge over strikers, even when Man City presses high and makes it difficult to get inside the penalty box for a shot.

Marc Guéhi: Marc Guéhi’s addition to Pep’s side has brought stability to their defence. The injury crisis at the back prompted his move. And he has helped them avoid defeat in the league since he joined.

Erling Haaland: The masterpiece of Pep’s side. With 22 goals in the EPL this season, Haaland has won multiple points for City this season. But it is somewhat visible that there’s a drop in form in recent weeks. But one full week has never stopped him from pulling last-minute surprises.

PL Matches Head-to-Head Historical Insights

The two contenders of the Premier League are Arsenal (70 points) and Manchester City (61 points). Checking the records, history favours the Manchester City side since they have won the league twice in the previous 3 seasons. Interestingly, Arsenal were the runner-up in these 3 seasons. This brings us to the questions on a lot of fans’ minds now; will Manchester City still top the table, and will Arsenal slip at the last minute like they have been doing for quite some time now?

In the last 5 games, Arsenal has won 2 and drawn 3; the 5-1 City thrashing at the Emirates stands out. Psychologically, that victory gives Manchester City an edge over Arsenal. This will be a big test for Arteta’s side, who many have tagged as bottlers. However, the team has shown some resilience in this current season. Their mentality has developed a lot, as seen in the wins against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.

Mikel Arteta’s side has the edge tactically, and they have their squad depth to thank for it. Manchester City, on the other hand, plays more freely but needs consistency to match toe-to-toe with Arsenal in the last few PL matches.

Scenarios and Predictions

The race is still open with 7 to 8 PL games to go between the contenders. Now, players are looking at City’s outstanding match against Crystal Palace as it will go a long way to boost City’s team if they secure all 3 points. As it stands, the 2025/2026 EPL title race is just between the Gunners and Pep’s City boys. But Arsenal are the favourite to win with 9 points ahead of City.

If Arsenal can win all their remaining 7 games without dropping a point, then the League title is all theirs regardless of City’s match outcomes. Avoiding a defeat at Etihad is something Arsenal need to stick to at this stage as a win or draw will boost their winning chances. City, on the other hand, need to win all remaining 8 matches with hopes of Arsenal dropping 7 points to be crown EPL champions.

Given the history between these two teams, many pundits believe City will emerge as the winner. Most argue Arsenal don’t have the mental strength needed. However, the consistency and zeal shown by the Arsenal team show they can cross the finishing line this season.
