The 6-foot-3, 330-pound Williams received some serious suitors on the recruiting trail. Not just limited to Georgia and Miami either.
Auburn represented one Southeastern Conference offer for him, which would’ve kept him in-state. Alabama also offered with assistant coach Adrian Klemm running point on his recruiting chase.
Florida State, however, also pushed hard to land Williams. The Atlantic Coast Conference rival of Miami even fell into Williams’ short list of final schools. But Miami wins out in the end and adds to a list of impressive trench wins.
Miami won over five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell one year ago. Cantwell handed the Canes the nation’s top overall prospect in return and now figures to be in the mix to start this fall. Local prospect Sean Tatum became a four-star recruiting win for Miami’s 2027 class out of John Carroll High in Fort Pierce. Now Williams is the top offensive lineman prospect for Miami.
