The Texas A&M Aggies and head coach Mike Elko have to be thrilled about their latest 2027 commitment.
Despite massive recruiting competition from the likes of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, LSU Tigers and Miami Hurricanes, the Aggies have landed one of the top overall recruits in the country. They gained the commitment of five-star pass-rusher Zyron Forstall on Tuesday.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Forstall is the No. 3 EDGE in the 2027 class and the No. 13 recruit overall. From IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, life in Texas simply made sense for Forstall.
“When I went and camped there in the summertime, I just kind of felt at home in College Station,” Forstall said, per Zach Blostein of 247Sports. “I was building great relationships with Coach [Mike] Elko and [D-line] Coach Tony [Jerod-Eddie]. I felt comfortable. It just felt like home.”
