The Don C-Inspired Nike “Just Book” 2 Drops On June 26th

Devin Booker’s strength as a curator is unmatched. Throughout his sig shoe story under the Swoosh, he’s applied those same sensibilities. With Air Max-inspired public releases and borrowed Air Jordan 1 PE colorways, the Suns superstar has put his designs on the line in order to express his love for archival Beaverton ones.

You don’t need a degree in kicksology to decode what the perennial All-Star is uncorking for his next. First worn on the hardwood, the Nike Book 2 “Just Book” reaches for more modern fare, echoing Don C’s genuinely revolutionary takeover of the Air Jordan 2. Despite being one of the more maligned stops in His Airness’ lineage, the AJ2 became a truly coveted object through the Chicago native’s handiwork, leaning into the Italian luxury themes that Nike sought to echo with Mike’s follow-up. Of the three released variations, Devin nods to the boldest, borrowing a flooded royal blue arrangement replete with the quilted uppers that made Don C’s do-ups so distinct.
