For the New York Knicks players and the sportswear brands that sponsor them, it’s now time to secure the bag. Winning the franchise’s first championship in over half a century has unlocked countless new doors for big-money sponsorships and, for our purposes, tons of sneakers tied to the team and its many local heroes.
Jose Alvarado, who was crucial for the Knicks down the stretch, emerged as the latest AND1 athlete during the NBA Playoffs, wearing nothing but AND1 sneakers throughout and even getting some dope Mad Game Pro “Knicks” PEs ahead of the Eastern Conference Finals. With New York still riding its championship high, why stop now?
AND1 Brand Director @d_gordon33 has shared a trio of all-new PE styles on his Instagram. The AND1 Attack 4 Low, the model Alvarado wore before his Mad Game Pro PEs arrived, is here given blue, orange, and black colorways featuring a new “JA” logo on the tongue. Ruffled shoelaces are included with each pair, as are AND1 logos inspired by the Knicks’ subway token motif on the heel.
Posted alongside the shoes is a retro-inspired AND1 varsity jacket featuring Knicks colors and Alvarado’s jersey number. No release info has been announced as of this writing, though we did get word that Jose’s AND1 Mad Game Pro “Knicks” PEs are dropping toward the start of the 2026-27 season. We wouldn’t be surprised to see these follow a similar path.
