The Toronto Raptors could soon be locking in head coach Darko Rajakovic for the long term.
An extension for the Raptors coach is well in the works and could get done in the next couple of days ahead of Tuesday’s draft, Sportsnet’s Michael Grange reported on Friday.
Rajakovic is coming off his third and most successful season as the Raptors head coach after leading Toronto to a 46-36 record and its first playoff appearance since 2022, taking the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round to seven games.
Under Rajakovic, the Raptors have gone 101-145.
Earlier in June, the Raptors announced a multi-year extension of general manager Bobby Webster, and a promotion for him to executive vice president of the club.
