Turki Alalshikh has hinted that significant developments could be coming to professional boxing after revealing he spent more than four hours Tuesday with executives from DAZN, Matchroom Boxing, Queensberry Promotions and Gold Star.

Without giving specific details, Alalshikh suggested the meeting could have a lasting impact on the sport.

“Great meeting with our brothers and partners…will affect the future… for more than four hours we talked about everything… big meeting today between DAZN, Queensberry, Matchroom and Gold Star,” Alalshikh wrote on X.

Alalshikh also shared a group photo from the meeting, showing him alongside Matchroom chairman Eddie Hearn, Queensberry promoter Frank Warren and senior figures from DAZN and Gold Star.

The gathering comes as Saudi Arabia continues to expand its influence in boxing. Riyadh Season has already become a major staging point for high-profile events, with rival promoters and broadcasters increasingly working together on cards that would have been difficult to make several years ago.

Alalshikh has repeatedly spoken about wanting more cooperation in boxing, and his latest message will only add to the belief that further structural changes may be discussed behind the scenes. His use of the phrase “will affect the future” was vague, but it was enough to spark immediate interest across the sport.

One detail that drew attention from fans was the absence of Zuffa Boxing CEO Dana White from the group photograph. Alalshikh did not mention White in the post, although it remains unclear whether he attended the meeting or whether the discussions involved only the organizations named in the message.

The purpose of the four-hour summit remains unknown for now. Until more details are released, Alalshikh’s brief post and the image of several of boxing’s most powerful promotional and broadcasting figures standing together have left the industry waiting to see what changes may follow.
