Tom Aspinall Reveals Why He Believes Conor McGregor Beats Max Holloway At UFC 329

It’s officially UFC 329 fight week, and now Tom Aspinall has given his two cents on this weekend’s main event: Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway 2.

The undisputed UFC heavyweight champion, after watching a couple of recent McGregor interviews, believes the Irishman seems calm and focused before his UFC return.

Aspinall believes, even though McGregor is returning to the octagon after a five-year layoff, “The Notorious” will still have the same power with which he has knocked out many previous opponents, including Jose Aldo, Dustin Poirier, and Donald Cerrone, among others.

Even though the former UFC double champ is the underdog, the Brit has picked him to win against “Blessed” in the July 11 rematch. Aspinall said:

“I heard a couple of [Conor] McGregor interviews. I was very impressed with the way and what he was talking about; how calm he seemed and how focused he seemed. I know it’s just an interview. It doesn’t really mean anything, but he’s up against an active guy like Max Holloway. But I think the thing is that power does not leave. He needs one shot, and it can be over. I am more favouring towards a McGregor win, to be honest.”

Dustin Poirier says “horrible person” Conor McGregor is god-gifted and can win at UFC 329

Despite the bad blood between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, the former has nothing but respect for his longtime rival’s abilities. Having shared the octagon with the Irishman three times, Poirier believes McGregor is a uniquely gifted fighter, and if anyone can shine after a five-year layoff, it’s “The Notorious.” “The Diamond” told ONE on ONE MMA:

“If anybody can come back after five years, put it all together, and start winning against the best guys, it’s Conor. He’s a special individual. Even though he’s a horrible person and I don’t like him, he has some God-given gifts.”
