Earlier tonight, Merab Dvalishvili defeated Henry Cejudo in his hometown at RAF Georgia, and he wasted no time in calling out current and two-time UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan.
In the main event of RAF Georgia, while 2008 Olympic gold medalist Cejudo built an early 8-0 lead and had Dvalishvili on the back foot, “The Machine” quickly closed the gap with takedowns in both the second and third periods and, in the end, secured a thrilling 11-8 comeback victory.
After getting his hand raised in front of his people, the 35-year-old called out the man who dethroned him last year at UFC 323. Dvalishvili said:
“Petr Yan, come back, bro! What the heck, I think something’s wrong with him. He lives in Thailand; maybe he’s taking the wrong hormones.”

Merab Dvalishvili has been inactive for nearly 7 months now
Merab Dvalishvili loves to stay active. In 2025, he successfully defended his bantamweight title three times and was set to make history at UFC 323 if he defeated Petr Yan in their rematch. However, “No Mercy” was the better man that night and dethroned “The Machine” by unanimous decision after five rounds of nonstop back-and-forth.
The UFC brass has promised Dvalishvili an immediate title rematch for being the most active champion last year. However, so far the Georgian has no update on when Yan will return to run it back. “No Mercy” had lower back surgery earlier this year and is already back in the gym, but there has been no update on when fans will get to see Yan vs. Dvalishvili 3.
