Luka Doncic didn’t mention his former coach and GM when discussing his return to Dallas for the first time since the Mavericks traded him.
Luka Doncic is set for a whirlwind 24 hours. The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder after Doncic unfairly got ejected from the game.
NBA fans were understandably upset about Doncic’s second technical foul. Even JJ Redick and LeBron James tried understanding what exactly the issue was.
The referees seemingly took things personally, saying Luka directed abuse their way. However, several fans and players saw Doncic trash-talking a fan behind the referee.
Luka will try to put tonight’s frustration behind him as he prepares for an emotional return to Dallas to play the Mavericks. But it appears that Doncic is still angry with two important people.

Luka Doncic ignores Jason Kidd and Nico Harrison
Speaking in the post-game press conference, Luka Doncic looked forward to his return to the Dallas Mavericks. However, he conspicuously didn’t mention two names.
Doncic admitted that it would be an emotional affair, and he is excited to reunite with the fanbase, people in the city, and his former teammates.
“Of course it’s gonna be emotional for me. I don’t know what to expect. I’m looking forward to being back in Dallas, obviously, with the fans, seeing my ex-teammates. It’s gonna be very emotional for me.”
“Honestly, I don’t know about closure. It’s a lot. I’m excited to be back there. I know the fans are gonna appreciate me being back there. Honestly, I don’t know how I’m going to feel.”
Of course, the two names that he didn’t mention are Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd and GM Nico Harrison. Given the role they played in his trade, Doncic not looking forward to seeing them is expected.

Lakers vs. Mavericks will be must-watch
As interesting as it is that Luka wouldn’t mention the two men responsible for his trade, we know what to expect from tomorrow’s game.
The Mavericks fanbase absolutely adores Luka Doncic, and will give him a hero’s welcome, despite him trying to play villain to their playoff hopes on the night.
While Doncic is returning to his first home, another player will get a chance at revenge. Anthony Davis will play against the Lakers for the first time since getting traded.
However, unlike Luka Doncic, Anthony Davis is all business, treating this as just another game. It might ‘just another game’ for Davis, but it’s one fans will tune in for in droves
